Welcome home

We made it home yesterday afternoon. As soon as we came in the cats were cautiously curious about this little, squirming, funny smelling thing we had with us. Pumpkin for the most part will keep a safe distance. Hi is, however, slowing working up the courage to get closer. Jasper on the other hand has been intrigued with her, especially when she cries.

We were both able to get some sleep last night. I took Lexi in between feedings, allowing Mom to get some sleep. After her last overnight feeding, Lexi and I took a pretty good nap together on the couch in the Living room.

I'm off of work this week to help Kristi out and give her that extra set of hands when needed.

Surprise, Kristi and Rik!!! What a beautiful new life has come to bless your home! I'm so glad Tris gave me this link. Lexi is adorable - can't wait to see more pictures as she gets a few days older. Sounds like things went fairly easily for you, Kristi, except for that "speed it up" Pitocin drip! But aren't epidurals just a wonderful thing?
I cracked up when I heard (from Jan Guzzetta) that you guys were CAMPING when your water broke! Ah,yes- camping: a fine MYF tradition. Tell Barry I said that. Did you race out of bed so fast because you thought you were wetting the bed?! hehehe. This is a great way to keep in touch. I ask Tris about you 2 all the time. She's my "info" person. Now I can keep in touch by myself. Enjoy every precious minute of these first days and weeks; there's nuthin' like 'em! I'm a HUGE proponent of breast feeding - Matt and I did it for 16 mo, and he had nothing BUT for the first 6 mo. I hope you have tons of milk and it goes really well for you. All 3 of us are just really, really happy for all 3 of you. God bless you and keep you well and happy- Love,
Janet, Craig and Matt
